A dramatic red lip may not be everyone’s cup of tea but “the key is not to be overly precise,” says Lucia Pica, Chanel’s global creative make-up and colour designer. Featuring four unique shades of red, Chanel’s latest Collection Libre Numéros Rouges are specially designed to suit different skin undertones. Pica suggests dabbing “the colour on with your fingertips” or applying from the tube and gently blending the edges with your fingertips. Give this classic look a modern twist by pairing it with jeweltoned nails using onyx or emerald green polishes.
