MORE THAN A SUBSTANCE

-

Born from the imagination of international designers, Kartell presents ‘Plastic Fantastic’, a visual showcase of the brand’s transformational design moments over the last 50 years. Discover how plastic meets trendy design in Kartell’s bright-coloured creations, from home accessories to contemporary furniture, including the first allplastic chair by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper from 1964. Divided into six sections, the exhibition starts by highlighting the creative use of plastic between the 1960s and 1970s, and continues with artistic perspectives of plastic and design by photographers, as well as modern collaborations with masters such as Philippe Starck and Patricia Urquiola. End this educational journey with the symbolic installation and film by design studio Showmakers that hints at the endless possibilities for plastic. Until March 4 at D Museum, Seoul. www.daelimmuseum.org
