Show sets were larger than life this season. At Chanel, a 50x40 of the Gorges du Verdon was erected at Paris’s Grand Palais, while Gucci stunned showgoers with life-sized pyramids and sphinxes. Elsewhere in Paris, Dior’s disco ball set required 82,000 mirrored pieces, but it was Saint Laurent that took the cake, with the glittering Eiffel Tower as its background, lighting up on cue as models walked down the runway.
