‘Olivier Theyskens – She Walks in Beauty’ traces the evolution of one of Belgium’s most fascinating designers, who exploded into the fashion scene at the age of 20, when Madonna wore a corseted Olivier Theyskens gown for the VH1 Fashion Awards in 1998. Journey through the fascinating world of Theyskens’s irreverent designs, from when dark romance took charge during his reign at Rochas and Nina Ricci in the noughties, to his minimalist yet powerful point of view in the 2010s for Theyskens’ Theory. Couture pieces are complemented with literary voices, photographs, films, and exceptional drawings, showing the clothes in motion—a nod to the digital world and a great insight into the contemporary fashion industry.
