The Year of Gabrielle continues with another launch that honours the woman who founded Chanel. The Palais de Tokyo in Paris was transformed into a visual and olfactory space of holographic projections, movable mirrors, and mazes peppered with Mademoiselle Chanel’s favourite quotes. Setting hearts aflutter, this momentous occasion launched the Gabrielle Chanel fragrance, the first new scent in 15 years from Chanel, created by in-house perfumer Olivier Polge. Pharrell Williams broke into a live performance of 2017’s summer anthem, “Feels”, alongside Katy Perry, cementing a sentiment shared by all who attended.
