Calvin Klein
NEW DAWN, NEW DAY
Raf Simons kicked off his reign as creative director at Calvin Klein with a show that thrilled with polished, commanding clothes for women and men. For his debut collection, Simons was enthused by the American youth culture that attributed its unique kind of parade. Models walked down the runway in a mix of marching band uniforms, plastic coated protection, power broker tailoring, antique handcrafted quilting, workwear, and western wear—all of which synthesised the core and spirit of a new age.
