STYLE PICKS

-

Malaysian fashion designer, Cassey Gan, shares her must-haves and dos for the season.

1 My personal style is relaxed and playful. This particular combination from my Spring/Summer ’20 collection perfectly embodies that. 2 I admire British artist David Hockney. Even at 82 years old, his work is constantly evolving. His masterpiece A Bigger Splash, 1967 is my all-time favourite. 3 As part of my evening skincare routine, I use Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex to rejuvenate and renew my skin while I sleep. 4 You can never own too many comfortable shoes. This pair of Adidas Sambarose sneakers are high on my wish list this season. 5 Iceland is a cherished destination of mine. From glacier walks to the magical northern lights, the experience truly made me appreciate the wonders of Mother Nature. 6 I never get tired of watching the documentary film Dior and I. It is an inspiring behind-the-scene glimpse into a historic maison. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of fashion or Raf Simons. 7 I don’t wear make-up daily. However, for special occasions, I always trust Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for that instant skin pick-me-up. 8 My current beloved fashion designer is Minju Kim, the winner of Netflix’s Next in Fashion. I love her take on wearable high fashion designs of exaggerated proportions and vibrant prints. 9 I love Cos for its selection of wardrobe staples. This pure cotton shirt is a classic piece reimagined with a double-layer placket. 10 I prefer fragrances that are woody earthy over sweet-floral. Comme des Garçons Play Red Eau de Toilette hits all the right notes with its blend of geranium and cinnamon. J
