Kogetsu

Malaysia Tatler Best Restaurants - - Japanese -

WHY GO

Kogetsu has long been a favourite with well-heeled diners looking for excellent Japanese cuisine away from the mayhem of downtown Kuala Lumpur.

TATLER TIPS

The menu is straightforward and succinct, with a focus on traditional Japanese fare prepared with fresh quality ingredients.

• Kogetsu offers good-value set menus. We recommend the five-course Teppanyakki set (choose between beef and seafood options) and the six-course Kaiseki Ryori.

• The grilled mackerel with salt is done to perfection with crispy skin and tender moist flesh and a slight hint of smoky aroma.

• Another good bet is the tempura with fresh seafood and vegetables cloaked in an impressively light and crispy batter.
