To begin, dive into the lavish antipasto misto Prego, a platter of assorted cheeses and cold meats that are profusely fresh and tantalisin­g.

Next, dig into the cheesy goodness of the carbonara e castelmagn­o, piping hot fettuccine pasta studded with beef bacon, coated in egg yolk, cream and parmesan, tossed in a block of castelmagn­o cheese. The cheeses and cream are a right balance, and the beef bacon adds a much-needed smokey element.

Continue with the stinco d’agnello cotto a fuoco lento con polenta e parmigiano, or slow cooked lamb shank with soft parmesan polenta.
