Stratosphere

Located on the helipad at the very top of First Avenue, Stratosphere offers a stunning 360° panoramic view of Petaling Jaya. Sparsely lit with soft lighting, it is ideal for romantic dates or special occasions although it gets more exciting on the weekends, where groups come to party.

Stratosphere’s food is actually served by its sister restaurant, Signature By The Hill, featuring a compact, primarily Western menu covering appetisers, mains and desserts.

The Moroccan lamb is one of the restaurant’s bestsellers. With savoury flavours and cooked in a thick gravy, the meat falls off the bone. The grilled salmon pasta is perfectly cooked with generous pieces of fish. The fish is sweet and succulent, complementing the slightly tart tomato base of the pasta.

For dessert, the decadent chocolate lava cake is a winner. A warm, moist shell holds deliciously rich chocolate and is complemented with vanilla ice-cream.

Stratosphere’s specials consist of four cocktails at RM45 each. In the wine category, there are three choices for white and red wines respectively, each from the same labels: Jacob’s Creek, Lapostolle and Chandon. Wine by the glass is not an available option. A small selection of whiskeys, cognacs, champagnes and shots rounds up their drinks menu.

Stratosphere’s elevated setting makes it a unique event space for anything from parties to weddings. Go on weeknights for an intimate night out, alternatively head there on weekends for an altogether more exciting atmosphere.
