Vasco’s

-

Vasco’s is KL Hilton’s main coffee house, located on the lobby level of the hotel. The coffee house is well- known for its buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner catering both for in-house and walk-in guests.

Vasco’s offers a range of local favourites as well as international dishes. For starters, the chicken teriyaki salad, Malay oxtail soup and minestrone are good choices. The chicken salad comes on a bed of spicy arugula leaves topped with chives, beef bacon and feta, providing a good contrast to the sweetish teriyaki chicken slices. Vasco’s oxtail soup is a hearty dish with potatoes, carrots, chunks of oxtail meat and served with warm brioche bread. The minestrone soup with crunchy vegetable bits, pasta and barley is simple but satisfying.

Vasco's nails its fish and chips with a delicious serving of white fish slices that are crisp on the outside and meltingly moist on the inside. Lots of fries, buttered peas and three types of dipping sauces complete the experience.

The poached sea bass is cooked and served in a seafood nage, a very light and fragrant broth that accents the flavours of the ocean while potatoes, lettuce and dehydrated tomatoes round up the dish, giving it contrasting textures and flavours. Local dishes like prawn mee are also popular at Vasco's. The dish of yellow noodles, fish cake, hardboiled egg, water spinach and bean sprouts is topped off with three large prawns and doused in a mildly spicy prawn broth.
