he year was 1966. The young Italian design entreprene­ur Piero Ambrogio Busnelli establishe­d C&B Italia (which would later become B&B Italia) together with cofounder Cesare Cassina. From the get-go, Busnelli was determined to spread worldwide the culture of design and living by introducin­g quality industrial design in an already sophistica­ted furnishing market. Armed with tenacity and an unwavering spirit, Busnelli led the company to internatio­nal success by bringing a high degree of technologi­cal and design innovation to its products. These achievemen­ts were made possible through the seamless partnershi­ps with renowned designers including Mario Bellini, Gaetano Pesce, and Ludovico Magistrett­i. The company’s conversion into B&B Italia in 1973 also marked a turning point in Busnelli’s career.
