Not just any old ones, though—the Focal Utopia headphones by Tournaire. A collaboration between high-end speaker brand Focal and jeweller Tournaire, the Utopia headphones are decorated with 18-karat gold and 6.5 carats of white diamonds. Beneath the bling is some serious tech, including an open-backed full-range speaker driver with pure beryllium M-shaped domes. These headphones might seem like an outrageous extravagance, but they’ve been created to support a good cause. A portion of the profits will be donated to the Association P’tit Louis, a charity founded in the name of an eight-year-old boy, Louis Biscini, who suffers from a rare degenerative disease, spinal muscular atrophy type 1.
