Worth Its Salt

Safari lodges? Been there, done that. What about staying on the surface of the world’s biggest salt flat, Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni, aka the world’s biggest mirror? From February, guests will be able to take in the splendour of the flat from a luxurious dome room at Kachi Lodge. Located at the foot of Tunupa Volcano, the lodge provides a comfortable, convenient base from which travellers can discover the nearby islands, villages, archaeological sites and, of course, stunning views of the salar. By night, guests can appreciate the sea of stars above through the lodge’s telescope.
