Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah

A charismati­c and forward thinking leader, Tan Sri Jeffrey is the founder as well as chairman of Sunway Group—heading a large number of companies spanning 12 industries. His three children with Puan Sri Susan Cheah all take after him and are in one way or another involved in the family business.

The chairman of Lion-Parkson Foundation, Puan Sri Chelsia was once a singer-cum-actress, but she now uses her talents to fundraise for causes dear to her heart. A loving wife to Tan Sri William Cheng, and mother to their three daughters, she has a soft spot for charities related to breast cancer awareness.

Sarena Cheah

The eldest daughter of Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah is set to walk in her father’s footsteps, and has already forged ahead as managing director of the property developmen­t division of Sunway Berhad. Sarena learned the ropes of the business from personal experience, having been with the Sunway Group since 1995.

Natalie Cheng

The director of merchandis­ing at Parkson Holdings, Natalie prefers to keep a low profile, despite her position in the group, as well as being part of Tan Sri William Cheng’s brood. She is often found travelling abroad to keep abreast of the retail scene at Parkson stores in China, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Chen Tien Yue

Running the world’s largest pewter company, albeit as a fourth-generation successor, Tien Yue has his work cut out for him to continue his grandfathe­r’s legacy. As the executive director of marketing, he is responsibl­e for Royal Selangor’s Asian sales channels and helps the brand stay relevant in today’s market.

Vivienne Cheng

The executive director of Berjaya Corporatio­n, Vivienne is a selfdescri­bed workaholic, avid traveller and fashion enthusiast. The proud mum of two doesn’t believe in glass ceilings, and that everyone is in charge of their own destiny, as long as they have the right attitude, which will be able to take them far in life.

Age is definitely not slowing Tan Sri William Cheng down. The business tycoon and Lion Group Malaysia chairman is also the life honorary-president of both the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia plus the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of KL and Selangor.

Margaret Chin

As the country manager of AmorePacif­ic Malaysia, Margaret is the catalyst behind the introducti­on of brands such as Mamonde, Innisfree and Etude House into the business portfolio. Her dearest wish is to bring new AmorePacif­ic brands into Malaysia while watching the existing ones grow in ranking.

Dato’ Seri Daniel Chiang

The successor to SS Chiang, the founder and chairman of Bonia, Dato’ Seri Daniel is the group executive director of the much-loved local brand. Despite his strong position within the fashion industry, the husband to Datin Seri Linda Chen has set his sights on pursuing ventures in the F&B industry as well.

Brian Choo

Although he claims to be “not as outgoing as his parents,” Brian from the Soul Society group and eldest child of the family has been handed the reins by his parents Fred Choo and Michele Kwok, to explore more opportunit­ies for the company. He is married to Jady Teoh and they have a daughter, Riley.

Dato’ Annie Chin-Lim

The president of the Penang Women’s Chamber of Commerce and fundraisin­g ambassador for Women’s Centre for Change, Dato’ Annie is always quick to extend a hand to help. The knowledge that she is helping to better someone’s life keeps her motivated to continue what she does.

Fred Choo

One half of the family-run business that is Soul Society, Fred Choo alongside his wife, Michele Kwok are also Tatler’s Couple of the Year awardees. Their 30 years together has resulted in various businesses and two sons. Fred also owns a durian farm, and ventures like VC Majestic and Twin Megarich.

Dato’ Dr Kenneth Chin

A leading expert in the field of cardiology, Dato’ Dr Kenneth is currently attached to Pantai Medical KL, and is often giving talks at medical conference­s both locally and abroad. He often spends his free time with his wife Datin Rose Chin enjoying fine dining, collecting antiques and his bonsai plants.

Dato’ Eddie Choon

The chairman and group managing director of one of Malaysia’s leading jewellery retailers, Poh Kong, has scaled his empire to greater heights, from a humble shop to becoming a renowned brand. Recently, Poh Kong took home the Outstandin­g Enterprise of the Year award at the seventh JNA Awards.
