Dull and Frizzy Hair

THE SOLUTION: The key to taming frizz is to smoothen the small flyaways. But having to blow-dry the hair every morning and piling on those styling products will only cause more damage. Luckily KeraStraight Brazilian Keratin treatment is here to help. We were promised the benefits of smooth, frizz-free hair after the treatment which should last for up to 4 months, and this fed to our curiosity even more. So we sat back and let them do the magic.
The hair expert, Faevien Yee, talked us through the treatment, and began with analysing the hair condition. Apparently the hair was frizzy and curled up in a blink of an eye when it touched water. He used the KeraStraight Pre-Treatment Cleanser twice, leaving on the second application slightly longer before he rinsed it off, after which he dried the hair up until 80 per cent of the moisture was removed. With the hair still slightly damp, he sprayed on the Pre-Treatment Spray through all sections, concentrating on the most porous areas. His assistant then applied the KS Ultimate in 2-3cm sections, close to the roots but not directly onto the roots. This treatment was left on the hair for 30 to 45 minutes before rinsing it off. Moisture Lock was then applied on and left for four minutes. The final steps were pretty simple—the hair was blowdried first before it was ironed slowly in 2-3cm sections using the KS EasyComb. The hair is then ironed from roots to ends in one smooth motion to seal in the smoothness. Voila! Straight and frizz-free hair.
VERDICT: We are KeraStraight believers! Two weeks and a few washes later, the hair is still frizz-free, and softer than it was before the treatment. It is perfect for time-conscious brides who are looking for a smooth textured hair on their wedding day and months after.
