Brilliant Confidence

The wedding engagement category will never be the same again with the launch of Love & Co’s all-new Lovemarque Diamond

-

There is a new standard to match up to, one that is formed and founded by premier jeweller, Love & Co—the first retailer in Asia to ever work with the International Institute of Diamond Grand and Research, or IIDGR, for short.

IIDGR, a De Beers group company, is part of the world’s leading Diamond Company, and provides accurate and consistent assessment services for naturally occurring diamonds in laboratories based in the United Kingdom, India and Belgium. With two such strong forces at work, what resulted from this fruitful collaboration is nothing short of remarkable.

Before you get down to finding the perfect ring to propose to your one true love, scratch off your traditional views of looking for the typical 4Cs—Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat—because what Love & Co together with IIDGR have now brought to the table is an additional C in the form of their new Lovemarque Diamond. That new special asset, the extra C, stands for ‘Confidence’.

This state-of-the-art and modern diamond grading has each Lovemarque Diamond bearing the inscription of the Love & Co exclusive Rose Hallmark alongside a unique ID number by IIDGR, which is in fact invisible to the naked eye, and is inscribed using IIDGR’s state-of-the-art proprietary inscription technology.

Stringently and responsibly sourced, each Lovemarque diamond is cut to perfection by master craftsmen with over a decade of experience. The diamond attains the highest cut grade (Excellent) by IIDGR, and achieves the highest grade (Ultimate) for light performance, the latter being independently assessed by Sarine Technologies in accordance to the parameters of brilliance, sparkle, fire and light symmetry. Light performance in a diamond is crucial, as it directly determines its beauty, judging

by how it interacts with light. To put things into perspective, it is quite a feat to visualise the actual beauty of run-ofthe-mill 4C rings. However, with ground-breaking scientific grading systems and advanced instrumental technology, a foolproof and quantifiable assessment method of a diamond’s light performance can now be measured. This technology, which is Sarine’s reputable light performance report, is integrated by Love & Co in their latest collection. As such, only diamonds of the Ultimate grade make the cut as a Lovemarque Diamond.

So where does the extra ‘C’ come from, you ask? Daniel Lim, executive director and CEO of Love & Co, answers, “We believe this partnership will enhance the quality assurance of our Lovemarque diamond collection and provide customers with an additional layer of confidence when they shop with us.” This is further supported by Jonathan Kendall, president of IIDGR, who says, “Backed by a grading report with more than 120 years of De Beers Group’s diamond experience, a consumer can be confident that the diamond is natural, free of treatments and independently assessed.”

The Lovemarque Diamond carries the independent approval of the Société Générale de Surveillance, which assures your loved one that the ring presented to her complies with the most stringent of international diamond grading standards. If that information doesn’t sweep your beau off her feet already, top off your proposal and the Lovemarque Diamond with a certificate issued by IIDGR for that extra boost of confidence.

A new standard of diamond grading which goes beyond the traditional 4Cs of Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat to bring the fifth C—Confidence
