Lovebirds Justin Chai and Yeoh Pei Nee share precious moments from their threeday celebration which saw love conquer even bad weather

Kicking off with a rustic welcome dinner at the Villa Treville Beach Club, three days of jubilant wedding celebrations passed all too quickly for the friends and family of Justin Chai and Yeoh Pei Nee, who gathered to celebrate the couple’s beautiful union against the swoon-worthy backdrop of Villa Treville overlooking the town of Positano, Italy.

Although the challenging weather forbade boat rides on the evening of the welcome dinner, guests were undeterred as they trekked happily through the sand and up nearly 300 steps to the villa’s private beach club, where a Neapolitan quartet and a decadent dinner setting awaited them. In a fitting tribute to Justin’s Italian heritage (and both Justin and Pei Nee’s fondness for Italian food), a feast of pizza and pasta left everyone in even better spirits. of the breathtaking views and the delightfully Instagram-able lemon tree decor by snapping wefies with the bride and the groom to their hearts’ content.

Awe-inspiring decor aside, guests were treated with several memorable door gifts inspired by the scenic surroundings, including a beach basket embroidered with Italian phrases, packed with hand-drawn maps, a guide to the town (curated by none other than the bride and groom), personalised beach towels, little lemon treats, custommade playing cards with scenes of Positano and Villa Treville and a ‘Hangover Kit’.

“Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but ultimately, it’s important to remember that your loved ones flew all the way to be with you on such a special occasion,” shares Pei Nee, who donned a pretty two-piece patterned dress by Dolce & Gabbana for the welcome dinner, and a stunning midnight blue evening dress by Elie Saab.

The cloudy weather did little to dampen the joyous mood on the morning of the wedding. As the crowd gathered upon the immaculate green grounds of Villa Treville on that breezy Saturday morning to hear the couple exchange their vows, the sun broke through the clouds at that very same moment.

“Reciting our vows in front of this spectacular backdrop was so incredibly special,” Pei Nee said, dressed in creamcoloured Berta wedding gown. “Before I walked down the aisle, my father held my hand, prayed with me and told me not to be nervous. He told me Justin had cried before I even walked down the aisle.”
