True to her generous spirit and penchant for a good time, Dato’ Rosemarie Wee gave her dearest friends a chance to let their hair down and put their wigs up for an evening to remember. The psychedelic theme and colourful props decorating the Sarawak ballroom of Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur reflected Dato’ Rosemarie’s young-at-heart nature. Ever the devoted husband, Captain Wee Eng Lee invited four of her close friends to speak about her: Chan Mo Lin, Florence Fang, Ming Tsuan Sen and Dato’ Flora Ong. All four ladies spoke of the birthday girl’s magnanimous nature and her love of shopping, with hilarious anecdotes that kept guests laughing in amusement. Wee’s speech about how he met his wife and what he loved about her was the highlight of the evening. After the cake-cutting ceremony, everyone stayed until the wee hours of the morning, singing songs and dancing the night away.
