Double Delight

-

Dressing the Yeoh sisters, Rachel and Michelle, for our cover story ensured our team had double the fun

Although Rachel and Michelle Yeoh were affected by jet lag, they showed up for our scheduled shoot bright and early at 7am with a sunny disposition. As Garrie Bobs and KF Bong, who make up the glam squad, worked on transforming them from freshfaced beauties to fashion vixens, they regaled the Tatler team with the recent developments in their lives, such as their efforts to redecorate their apartment in London, where the twins are based at. With hair and makeup done, it was time to look at the clothes. Stylist Andrea Kee throws the wardrobe curtains back to reveal some of the pieces she had prepared for the shoot, which had our fashion-loving twins gasping in excitement, as they touched and felt every piece before trying them on. Striking pose after pose, the Yeoh twins exuded confidence and charisma in front of the camera. Our last shot involved clothes that were flown in from different corners of the world by Dior. When we finally displayed all of the pieces from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut collection for the brand, their excitement turned into wonder as they slipped into the pieces. In between shots, the twins took turns snapping selfies and full-length pictures of themselves in the Dior outfits through their mobile phones. “I love every single piece from the collection,” enthused Michelle as she flicked through looks of the collection on her phone. And we’re loving them too, especially the mystical detailing of the dresses, designed in tribute to Monsieur Christian Dior. See page 146 to view the stunning images of these rising stars.
