It was about 4pm in the evening when the solemnisation between Dexter Lau and Yee Tsai Siew took place. It was a quiet, intimate procession with only about a hundred in attendance, adding finesse and tranquility to the dignified rite which took place at Shangri-la’s Tanjung Aru Resort in Kota Kinabalu. Many friends and family members from Malaysia and beyond, flew in to witness the ceremonious moment between the two. After the solemnisation and some prayers, guests were then ushered to the garden, where they were served champagne. During this time, the resort staff made quick work of turning the room where the procession took place into a splendid, dining area in time for the dinner reception. Prior to the evening reception, a traditional tea ceremony took place, where both the lovely bride and dashing groom were seen bedecked in traditional qun kwas during the ceremony.
