PUAN SRI SIEW YONG GNANALIMGAM’S 70TH BIRTHDAY BASH
Accustomed to party planning, birthday girl Puan Sri Siew Yong Gnanalingam found it hard to sit back and let her daughter Shaline and daughter-in-law Shirieene Hajamaideen take the reins in organising her birthday party. However she left it to them and judging by the happy look on her face when she arrived at the Astor ballroom in St Regis Kuala Lumpur, Shaline and Shirieene did a good job. In tribute to Puan Sri Siew Yong’s previous career with our national airline carrier, the travel-themed party was christened as Flight SY70, with her husband Tan Sri G Gnanalingam serving as captain and her son Ruben as first officer. The lady of the hour was overwhelmed with emotion as her loved ones paid tribute to her in a series of video interviews and speeches onstage; she even laughed along when they teased her about her travel mishaps and adventures.
