Gigi Hadid stars as the face of Max Mara’s S/S17 accessories campaign

Supermodel Gigi Hadid and Max Mara go hand-in-hand. The beautiful cover girl is a huge fan of the brand and stars in their spring/ summer 2017 accessories campaign. “Max Mara makes timeless clothing and often employs campaign storylines that are inspired by fashion’s past,” she says. “I really enjoy the creative direction Max Mara takes with their campaigns and shows, and I think that when I’m inspired in that way, it’s easy for me to bring the character or feeling they want to the photo.” The campaign was shot by legendary photographer Steven Meisel, who has worked with Hadid numerous times. “Steven is one of my favourite people to work with! From the first time I shot with him a couple of years ago, I knew we have a special bond,” she reveals before adding, “He really understands how I work in front of a camera, and he lets me learn and explore my craft while always making me feel beautiful. It’s not often that a photographer’s photos come out the way you want them to in your head—and even better most of the time! He is a master at what he does and it’s been easy and an honour to work with him.” The charismatic supermodel poses with Max Mara’s new Bobag, which is available in two sizes and finishings—smooth or napa leather. The bag features a single stiff handle and detachable shoulder strap in a gorgeous array of colours. Another standout piece is the Lina II sunglasses, which Hadid has been spotted rocking on the street. These stylish sunnies have a unique square-shaped front with acetate spoilers on both sides of its lenses—in four cool lens shades of brown, gray, black and blue. Don ’em and channel your inner model!
