Inspired by nature, Lancôme’s cutting-edge Absolue Precious Cells cream duo brings life to your skin
Roses are one of the most beautiful and magical flowers in the world, representing love, life, purity and beauty. Therefore it comes as no surprise that the wonderful rose has come to symbolise Lancôme, a worldrenowned brand and its skincare range, which infuses the power of this potent flower. The magnificent Plateau de Valensole in the south of France, is adorned with different colours throughout the seasons. In winter, it is a breathtaking snowy white. In March, almond trees blossom and in July, it is filled with shades of blue lavender and golden wheat. But when May comes around, roses spring to life for just one special month. Grown by third-generation farmer Emmanuelle Ravel, she watches over the rose fields all year round until it blooms. A very special species called the Centifolia rose grows there which is also known as the ‘rose of a hundred leaves’ because of its fragrant and potent qualities. Using a cutting-edge extraction technique called CO2 supercritical extraction, Lancôme captures the soothing power of the Centifolia rose in its new Absolue Precious Cells Day and Recovery Night Cream. This process uses CO2 in a semi liquid and gas state in low temperatures to allow the compounds of the rose to be extracted with minimal damage.
