Hublot’s partnership with Ferrari introduces its latest marvel, with a bolder and dynamic facelift, using designs from the supercar manufacturer, reveals Fang Sue Yin
Sharing a similar eye for aesthetic perfection, mechanical innovation and performance versatility, Hublot and Ferrari are iconic brands in their own respected fields. Even as time passes, the improvement in technology and design has helped both brands refine their products along the way. As a result, the two luxury brands have formed an enduring relationship that takes cues from one another in a powerful synergy. It was a partnership that began with a great aspiration to build something unique, where precision, design and elegance are measures of a shared passion for excellence. For six years, luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot and Italian powerhouse automaker Ferrari joined forces to invent an innovative line of watches that marries the brands’ values and vision. This collaboration, known as the Big Bang Ferrari was to bring about a new take on the elegant expressions Hublot is renowned for. “Honestly, a project like this is a breath of fresh air for us. A watch is a completely different animal for us, but there are real connections and it’s an opportunity to use our multi-disciplinary approach. We can infuse each other’s brand with our philosophy!” expressed Ferrari’s chief designer Flavio Manzoni on how the partnership has inspired his team in turn.
