Clé de Peau Beauté launches its new makeup collection that showcases profound and radiant beauty
Afew years ago, I was lucky enough to see the exhibition ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. It explored the influence of Chinese art, ceramics and textiles on Western culture—art, film and, above all, fashion. It was a show monumental in scope and depth,” confessed Lucia Pieroni, makeup creative director of Clé de Peau Beauté. With that understanding—of the power and effect the mystique of Chinese art has had on various trades in the West—pieroni helmed the production of a whole new range of lipsticks as well as the Intensifying Liquid Liner and eyeshadow. These key looks feature colours inspired by Chinese art, and each of them feature a muse and carry a personality that simultaneously showcase subtle power and profound beauty. “The intricacy of Chinese art is formidable and in more ways than not reflects the depth, passions and hidden layers of the Clé de Peau Beauté woman. It is this complexity—in all its subtle power and profound beauty—that I tried to unlock with this latest collection,” Pieroni added. Here’s a look at the newbies:
