I think freedom is … being able to say, do and express yourself in any way that you want without fear, condemnation, persecution or judgement. The last time I recall feeling patriotic … when cheering Datuk Lee Chong Wei on during his badminton matches; when all Malaysians stand together as one to support another Malaysian. I think Malaysian values are … unity, tolerance and acceptance. I think the best person who represents these values is … the common man on the street. To me, being a Malaysian means
… to be able to live in harmony, to celebrate and embrace our differences and to be open-hearted to those around us. To be mindful and sensitive of other people’s beliefs and cultures, without losing sight of who you are. To me, Malaysia Boleh means … standing unified as a nation, as one, and being proud of our achievements. To celebrate interracial marriages and practise acceptance between all races and religions.
