After 25 years of breaking and mending hearts, nineties Irish boy band Boyzone comes to Malaysia to mark their last world tour ever
This ’90s-boy band brings their Farewell Tour to KL, for the very first time
It’s not often you would feel elated and disappointed at the same time, but when it comes to Boyzone, that’s what has happened as early as the ’90s, when most fell in love with these fresh-faced crooners from Ireland, and broke their own hearts at the improbability of meeting them face-to-face. Fast forward 25 years later, fans are once again overjoyed at their return, but only to find out that this would be the last time they would perform as a group. The farewell tour by the foursome, Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy, has been revealed to be most agonising to organise, but their decision to part ways as a band wouldn’t deter them from remaining close friends, supporting each other’s solo activities. Although they officially split in 2000, the group reunited regularly for landmark tours for fans, such as the Back Again…no Matter What tour in 2009—the last time they performed as a fivepiece group before the passing of Stephen Gately. The band also got together in 2013, to celebrate their 20th anniversary with a tour and new releases. So Boyzone fans, gear up and get ready to bid these stillheartthrobs a fond farewell!
