Your World, Your Way

T’roka, Holiday Tours and Travel’s new luxury travel brand, offers curated experiences that last you a lifetime

-

A holiday should be as advertised: the great escape from the daily grind, where you can finally put your feet up and actually immerse yourself in the moment without a care in the world.

President of Holiday Tours and Travel (HTT), Ben Foo, who spearheads Malaysia’s leading travel management company of 50 years, believes that true immersion is key to creating experiences of a lifetime.

“A retreat, to me, should be like coming home after a long day of work,” says Foo. “[A home] is a place where we reset, physically and spiritually, right? A relaxing getaway should be the same way, but elevated in a way that enriches you and allows you to truly experience life.”

Inspired by his own experience at the Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar resort in Oman, Foo recalls visiting Wadi Ghul with his wife, an abandoned village nestled deep in the Grand Canyon of Oman. Led by a local guide, who told them the story of Wadi Ghul’s abandonment after the villagers’ sole water source had dried up, the guide then revealed to Foo his vision of bringing life back into the village by investing money into a communal water pipeline.

“I was so moved after hearing his story, and even now, as I’m telling you this, it feels as though I’m back at Oman again,” says Foo. “And I never thought my trip would leave such a lasting impact on me. It was a lot of money spent, but how many can say that they got to experience that? It’s priceless! And these resonating experiences are what I wanted to introduce with T’roka, Holiday Tours and Travel’s latest venture in the luxury travel scene.”

T’roka, a luxury travel brand launched by HTT

this year, is aimed to craft personalised experiences much like Foo’s own. Wanting to create more than just your run-ofthe-mill vacation, T’roka stands out with its extensive network of specialists and hotels alike—from travel advisors that actively cater to discerning travellers’ preferences and needs, to a curated selection of luxury hotels accrued from HTT’S 50-year legacy, including the likes of Aman resorts, Marriott International, the Hyatt Hotels, and more.

Wanting to deliver a true, immersive holiday, T’roka prioritises the flexibility of their itineraries for travellers to truly take in the sights and immerse themselves in the culture of their chosen destination. Whether it’s the best available hotel rates, an attentive panel of experts, stress-free plans and complimentary perks like unexpected upgrades and even invitation-only events, Foo explains that their unrivalled hospitality, coupled with genuine human connection and a perfectly curated holiday, are what makes it all truly worth one’s while.

“We’re not just talking about dream destinations at T’roka, but authentic experiences that leave you with a sense of belonging,” says Foo. “You want to meet a museum curator in Spain? Or a Michelin-star chef in Tuscany? We can make it happen for you. Because this isn’t just a typical holiday you’re on, but a core memory that lasts you a lifetime.”
