Values like kindness, sharing, respect, and caring aren’t just theoretical ideas at SISKL; they’re ingrained into daily experiences and activities. In addition, a nurturing mentality is cultivated. An example can be seen during Book Week, where practical exercises encourage students to pass around and share books, helping instil these values in the students.
Moreover, all students, regardless of their varying capabilities, are encouraged to participate in Sports Day and physical education sessions, promoting unity as they cheer each other on. This helps distinguish SISKL as an educational institution where inclusivity is not just a theoretical concept but an everyday reality.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
When it comes to education, students at SISKL surpassed the
world average of 29.06 marks in the recent November 2023 exams. On top of that, the most recent graduating batch of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) placed in the top 3 per cent globally. Among them was Lim Rui Hao, a student from the SISKL Sunway City campus, who achieved an almost flawless score of 44 out of 45 points and was accepted into Christ College, Cambridge.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACHIEVEMENTS
SISKL also fosters the development of versatile individuals who excel in various fields, alongside achieving academic excellence. For instance, at the prestigious Mallorca Dance Festival (MDF) in Calvia, Spain, student Cherry Yeo Xiao Wei took home four medals, three of which were gold for rhythmic gymnastics.
Another outstanding sports scholar, Liew Zi Hin, a current Year 12 Canadian International Matriculation Programme student, represented Malaysia at the World Sport Stacking Association 2023 Asian Open Sport Stacking Championships in Korea. Alongside four other team members, they made Malaysia proud by achieving the fastest time in the world under the 3-6-3 timed relay category, with the quickest overall time of an amazing 12.9 seconds.
