GETTING READY: Italian gives Chelsea a glimpse of what’s in store for new season

ANTONIO Conte gave Chelsea fans a glimpse of his fiery touchline demeanour during Italy’s Euro 2016 campaign and the new boss was just as lively during his first training session at Cobham.

Conte cut an animated figure and was all action as he took Chelsea training for the first time on Wednesday following a short break after leading Italy to the quarterfinals in France.

The 46-year-old barked orders and wildly pointed and gesticulated as he prepared his Blues side for the upcoming Premier League season.

Conte, who oversaw the first of two sessions, was already on the pitch to greet his new players as they headed out to the pitches.

The Italian then split his squad into two teams for short passing exercise before working on different patterns of play and possession.

Former Juventus manager Conte, known for being vocal and demanding of his players, stopped each drill to talk to his team.

The former midfielder who earned 20 caps for Italy before going on to coach his country, was also pictured passing the ball during one stoppage.

Conte’s passion from the dugout was one of the highlights of Italy’s impressive run to the last eight of Euro 2016 and it seems he will be just as energetic on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge if his first training session is anything to go by.

After Chelsea’s disappointing title defence, the Blues will not compete in Europe next term meaning Conte can fully focus on the Blues’ domestic campaign.
