KUALA LUMPUR: Tears flowed freely at the Sessions Court here after two friends were slapped with 55 charges involving prostitution related activities and rape around the Klang Valley since last year.

The duo were charged with living off the immoral earnings and acting as intermediaries for the prostitution of 14 women, including two underage girls and two Indonesian nationals.

The offences were under Sections 372A and 372(1)(f) of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum 15 years’ jail term, whipping and fine, upon conviction.

Khairul was also charged with statutory rape involving one of the women, allegedly committed at Bandar Sri Permaisuri on July 29 last year.

The court did not offer bail for either of them and fixed April 6 for mention.
