Penang gears up for Streetball Challenge

Pro Marketing Sdn Bhd and Youngsters Basketball Club Penang will host the 3x3 Streetball Challenge 2017 at the Auto City car park area in Juru on Apr 1

Youngsters Basketball Club vice president Dr Cheah Choong Soo said the 3x3 competitio­n will see the boys’ Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 and the Men’s Elite Open categories contest.

Due to overwhelmi­ng response every year, the organisers have limited participat­ion to 250 teams.

He said additional events include a shooting challenge and the obstacle fun challenge.

Participan­ts will receive a jersey each, discount vouchers, certificat­es and other sponsors products.

The prizes for the boys’ categories include RM540 for the champions, Hip & Hoop vouchers worth RM600 and goodies, runners-up RM420, Hip & Hoop vouchers worth RM400 and goodies and third RM300, Hip & Hoop vouchers worth RM200 and goodies.

For the men’s Open the prize money is RM800, RM600 and RM400, Hip & Hoop vouchers worth RM1,200, RM800 and RM600 plus goodies for the champion, second and third positions respective­ly.

Entry fee for the boys’ categories is RM90 and RM150 for the men’s Open. Each team will receive four jerseys, discount vouchers and goodie bags. Entries close on Mar 24 or if the target of 250 is reached, whichever comes first.
