Global Transformation Forum (GTF) 2017 will feature some of the biggest names in the world.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, in his Twitter account yesterday, tweeted about the event which will take place from March 22 to 23 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

“We have an even bigger, starstudded line-up for #GTF2017 including Jack Ma, Sir @richardbranson & @usainbolt,” he said, tagging the Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson who will also be among the speakers.

In his blog, Najibrazak.com, Najib also mentioned other prominent figures such as entrepreneur and author Chris Gardner, winner of 13 F1 Grand Prix David Coulthard, M-Farm chief executive officer (CEO) Jamila Abass and World Bank chief economist Dr Paul Romer who would be sharing their accounts of courage and determination.

“I am sure you will be inspired by the outstanding personalities whose own success stories have all been marked by transformative endeavours and I warmly welcome you to join the GTF 2017.

“And to borrow the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Global Transformation Forum is back.”

He said the inaugural GTF 2015 was a resounding success and was a unique event where speakers shared and discussed transformative actions and experiences at the governmental, business and individual level.

“The GTF is still the sole platform where some of the world’s most influential leaders can engage and share experiences as well as best practices on how to drive transformation at the said levels.

“I also remember sharing Malaysia’s own transformation story which began in 2009 when we decided that the government and the private sector should work hand-in-hand to re-energise our economy, which led to the establishment of Pemandu (Performance Management and Delivery Unit),” he said, adding that the government had hosted more 3,000 attendees from 76 countries.

Najib added that in the previous installment, people from all walks of life had benefited from the transformational stories of iconic leaders like Pemandu CEO Datuk Seri Idris Jala and former governor of California and Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger.
