BEAUTY DOCTOR

Celebrities can’t wait to visit Dr Katalina’s medical spa, writes SYAHIRAH MOKHTAZAR

-

THIS celebrity doctor has only officially opened her medical spa a few days ago and she already has a long list of celebrities waiting to try out the beauty treatments offered by Katalina Medispa.

Of course, it helps that the owner, Dr Katalina, whose real name is Dr Siti Khadijah, is also an artiste herself and is friends with fellow celebrities.

Being a doctor and an artiste certainly has its perks.

The 33-year-old single mother of two is a newcomer to the industry, having starred in Astro Prima’s 100-episode popular drama Lara Aishah and releasing a single last September titled Kan

Terjadi.

She is touched by the support shown by her fellow showbiz friends, among them, Juliana Evans, Jasmin Hamid (Dr Katalina’s co-star in Lara Aishah) and also new mother and singer Stacy Anam.

“When I told them I was going to open a medical spa, they immediately wanted to sign up for treatments. Having celebrities as my clients is good because I look at it as a platform to educate the public on the importance of taking care of themselves.

“Most of the celebrities are looking to try our treatments like Platellete Rich Plasma (Vampire Face Treatment) and the Royale Facial. We also offer other treatments like Eye Rejuvenating and Body Slimming,” said Dr Katalina at the launch of her new music video for Kan Terjadi at Saville Melawati recently.

Signed under Warner Music Malaysia, Dr Katalina’s Kan Terjadi was selected as the second song for Lara Aishah’s official soundtrack, while Dirgahayu ,a duet by Faizal Tahir and Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, was the main song for the series.

Since quitting her job as a general practitioner at a government hospital to build her medical spa while paving her way into the industry, Dr Katalina said she had been blessed with many acting offers.

She will soon play a police inspector in the new season of Gerak Khas, the longest-running police drama series which airs on TV2.

“I used to watch Gerak Khas all the time. So, to be given this opportunity to star in it thrills me. It’s a great production for me to explore a completely different role,” said Dr Katalina who is due to start filming it soon.
