Malindo Air to open book­ings for Kuala Lumpur-Bris­bane flight

KUALA LUMPUR: Malindo Air will open book­ings for the Kuala Lumpur-Bris­bane route be­gin­ning March 31, the air­line’s sec­ond des­ti­na­tion into Aus­tralia and part of its ex­pand­ing in­ter­na­tional net­work.

Chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Chan­dran Rama Muthy said the ser­vice, be­tween Kuala Lumpur and Bris­bane with one stop in Bali, will show great op­por­tu­ni­ties for fu­ture growth as­so­ci­ated with this new con­nec­tiv­ity.

“Bris­bane is a sig­nif­i­cant com­mer­cial busi­ness hub and tourism gate­way to one of Aus­tralia’s Unesco world her­itage Sites, the Great Barrier Reef, and the beau­ti­ful Gold Coast.

“We will cer­tainly work on build­ing ben­e­fi­cial re­la­tion­ships with Malaysian and Aus­tralian tourism play­ers and Bris­bane Air­port au­thor­i­ties, to en­sure the suc­cess of this new route.”

Pro­mo­tional oneway fares for the new route start from RM1,049 for econ­omy class and RM2,369 for busi­ness class, all in­clu­sive of perks such as free bag­gage al­lowance, in­flight en­ter­tain­ment, and meals.

Flights will de­part Kuala Lumpur In­ter­na­tional Air­port (KLIA) daily at 6.05pm to Bris­bane via Den­pasar, Bali, and will ar­rive at Ngu­rah Rai Air­port, Den­pasar at 9.10pm.

From Den­pasar, fil­ghts will take off at 10 pm and ar­rive in Bris­bane at 5.40am. This leg of the jour­ney takes five hours and 40 min­utes.

The re­turn­ing flight de­parts Bris­bane at 7.15am and ar­rives in Den­pasar at 11.45am. Af­ter a one­hour tran­sit, the flight de­parts Den­pasar at 12.45pm and ar­rives at KLIA at 3.45pm.

The nar­row-body Boe­ing 737900ER air­craft that comes with a seat ca­pac­ity of 180, which in­cludes 12 busi­ness class and 168 econ­omy class seats, will be de­ployed on this new route.
