Yuna puts romance rumours to rest

-

LOVE is in the air! Sorry fellas, it looks like rumours about Malaysian songstress Yuna dating Adam Sinclair, the younger brother of actor Ashraf and radio host Aishah Sinclair are indeed true.

Romance rumours on the couple’s relationship status were sparked in 2015 as they were constantly seen together and occasionally posted pictures of each other on social media.

But the duo left fans guessing, as both parties never officially admitted to being romantically involved.

The 30-year-old singer finally put the rumours to rest last Tuesday in a heartfelt Instagram post dedicated to her crush (pun intended), thanking him for all the hard work he had contributed during her Lovelifest music festival which was held last Saturday at Setia City Park, Shah Alam.

The post depicts Adam dressed in a T-shirt paired with a sarong and a baseball cap.

Part of its long caption read: “I wanted someone out of this world. Instead I found someone who is very much in tune with this world.

“Thank you for treating everyone around you so kindly, and participating in everything that I do wholeheartedly.

“Who knew 5 years ago when we met we would be here now? I know I’m not an easy person to be with. I come with a lot of baggage and responsibility but you’re brave enough to embrace what I am. I’m so lucky to have found love in a friend.

“I’m sad I don’t have a proper festival photo with you. I had to give my time to my fans and my job.

“But, InsyaAllah, if God permits, there will be a time when our day will be ours only.”

Barely 24 hours after the post was uploaded, it garnered more than 9,000 likes (and counting).

A week before Yuna flew back to our shores in time for Lovelifest, rumours on the couple being already engaged went abuzz on the Internet. But Yuna’s representative, Nor Zaina Wardah, denied the news.

On another note, Yuna’s song Best Love climbed to No. 3 on the US Billboard’s Adult R&B song charts, according to Yuna’s tweet yesterday.
