Scomi, Synergy Generated form JV to bid for solar projects

KUALA LUMPUR: Scomi Group Bhd and Synergy Generated Sdn Bhd (SGSB) will form a joint venture (JV) to bid for contracts in the renewable energy sector, particularly for solar photovoltaic farms.

The JV will look for contracts in the engineering, procurement and construction segments.

In a statement yesterday, Scomi said the JV would also offer operation and maintenance services for solar projects.

“Scomi holds a majority stake in this JV company with 51 per cent interest, with SGSB holding the remaining shares,” it said.

Scomi is a global technology enterprise focused on the energy and transport sectors.
