Scomi, Synergy Generated form JV to bid for solar projects

KUALA LUMPUR: Scomi Group Bhd and Synergy Generated Sdn Bhd (SGSB) will form a joint venture (JV) to bid for contracts in the renewable energy sector, particular­ly for solar photovolta­ic farms.

The JV will look for contracts in the engineerin­g, procuremen­t and constructi­on segments.

In a statement yesterday, Scomi said the JV would also offer operation and maintenanc­e services for solar projects.

“Scomi holds a majority stake in this JV company with 51 per cent interest, with SGSB holding the remaining shares,” it said.

Scomi is a global technology enterprise focused on the energy and transport sectors.

Synergy Generated offers unique, cost-effective and innovative solutions for large-scale solar photovolta­ic power generation.
