Scomi, Syn­ergy Gen­er­ated form JV to bid for so­lar projects

KUALA LUMPUR: Scomi Group Bhd and Syn­ergy Gen­er­ated Sdn Bhd (SGSB) will form a joint ven­ture (JV) to bid for con­tracts in the re­new­able en­ergy sec­tor, par­tic­u­larly for so­lar pho­to­voltaic farms.

The JV will look for con­tracts in the en­gi­neer­ing, pro­cure­ment and con­struc­tion seg­ments.

In a state­ment yes­ter­day, Scomi said the JV would also of­fer op­er­a­tion and main­te­nance ser­vices for so­lar projects.

“Scomi holds a ma­jor­ity stake in this JV com­pany with 51 per cent in­ter­est, with SGSB hold­ing the re­main­ing shares,” it said.

Scomi is a global tech­nol­ogy en­ter­prise fo­cused on the en­ergy and trans­port sec­tors.

Syn­ergy Gen­er­ated of­fers unique, cost-ef­fec­tive and in­no­va­tive so­lu­tions for large-scale so­lar pho­to­voltaic power gen­er­a­tion.
