Dr Daroyah conveyed the condolence­s from Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and the state government to the families of the boys who drowned and hoped that the remaining two would be found soon.

“We will help the families, but at the moment, we have not determined how to do it.

“I will discuss with the menteri besar about this,” Dr Daroyah said.

Dr Daroyah and Lee also went to the scene where Muhammad Shahir Azman was rescued. He had held on to a rubber hose near the bridge and screamed for help. A passerby rescued him.

Dr Daroyah advised parents to ensure that they knew the whereabout­s of their children during this week-long school holidays to prevent untoward incidents.
