Motorcycli­st was not wearing a helmet, say cops

ESTHER LANDAU KUALA LUMPUR was looking at his phone while riding the motorcycle, which belonged to his friend. He was distracted by his phone, which caused him to lose control of his machine.

“He wasn’t wearing his helmet. He had serious head injuries and died at the scene.”

It was reported that the 19year-old victim had lost control of his motorcycle and skidded to the left side of the road in the 11.15pm incident.

The case is being investigat­ed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
