Malacca DAP pushed into po­lit­i­cal cri­sis, says daily

THE res­ig­na­tion of 182 DAP mem­bers, with five to 40 years’ mem­ber­ship in the party, in Malacca re­cently, is one of the worst blows to DAP.

Among them, six were branch chair­men, branch women sec­tion com­mit­tee mem­bers, sev­eral lead­ers and ac­tive mem­bers.

Some were also can­di­dates fielded in the last elec­tion and young pro­fes­sion­als, push­ing Malacca DAP into an un­prece­dented po­lit­i­cal cri­sis, said a com­men­tary in the Ori­en­tal Daily.

It said to those out­side the state, they might not be fa­mil­iar with those who re­signed, and some even said they were not ac­tive in DAP.
