Name order confusion

DELIP Singh wants to know if the National Registration Department (NRD) can include the registration of surnames, and if it is possible to do so by amending the National Registration Act 1959.

He said the current system could lead to confusion.

For example, an online ticket booking service recently stated Delip’s last name as “Lal Singh”, which was his father's name.
