Star win as NST bag second and third

KAJANG Municipal Council (MPKj) went on a roll with media agencies by having the inaugural MPKj Media Bowling Tournament in conjunction with 20 Years of MPKJ at the Ampang Superbowl, Bangi Gateway recently.
Kajang Council president Mohd Sayuthi Bakar also competed to enliven the tournament participated by 26 teams consisting of media agencies as well as MPKJ staff.
“This programme aims is a sign of appreciation for the role of media agencies and also improve the working relationship with MPKJ,” said Sayuthi.
The Star emerged as champions with total 1,424 pinfalls which came with RM1,000 in cash prize and medals.
The New Straits Times through two teams — NST ‘B’(1,307) and NST ‘A’ (1,290) were second and third respectively, receiving RM700 and RM500 and medals.
Samuel Ong (The Star) and Norashikin Abd Razak (MPKj) bagged the men’s and women’s Hi-Series with 544 and 5491 pinfalls respectively. They each received RM150.
