Utu­san in part­ner­ship with Pri­mainfo and its In­dian part­ners

KUALA LUMPUR: Utu­san Me­layu (Malaysia) Bhd is strength­en­ing its in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy (IT) busi­ness af­ter seal­ing a part­ner­ship for co­op­er­a­tion yes­ter­day.

The Malay daily signed a me­moran­dum of understanding (MoU) with Pri­mainfo Tech­nolo­gies Sdn Bhd (PTSB) and the lat­ter’s strate­gic busi­ness part­ners from In­dia, Kr­ishna In­dus­trial Corp Ltd (KIC) and Coim­bat­ore In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy (CIT), to di­ver­sify busi­ness port­fo­lios sub­se­quent to the com­pany’s in­volve­ment in sev­eral tech­nol­o­gy­based projects re­cently.

“The MoU will of­fer ac­cess to the ser­vices of soft­ware de­vel­op­ment ex­per­tise to strengthen Utu­san’s IT busi­nesses over the next three years,” said the daily in a state­ment yes­ter­day.

“The ef­fort is also in line with the pa­per’s new busi­ness di­rec­tion as it con­tin­ues to be a di­ver­si­fied me­dia com­pany in the coun­try.”

PTSB is a lo­cal IT con­sult­ing and ser­vices com­pany that pro­vides so­lu­tions for a dy­namic en­vi­ron­ment and fo­cuses on new ways of do­ing busi­ness that com­bine IT in­no­va­tion while lev­er­ag­ing on the com­pany’s ex­ist­ing IT as­sets.

KIC pro­vides high-end IT, tech­ni­cal con­sult­ing and prod­uct de­vel­op­ment ser­vices while CIT is a rep­utable in­sti­tu­tion of higher learn­ing in In­dia that spe­cialises in the field of en­gi­neer­ing and tech­nol­ogy.

Present at the sign­ing cer­e­mony were Utu­san group man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Datuk Mohd No­ordin Ab­bas, KIC man­ag­ing di­rec­tor and CIT chair­man Dr SRK Prasad, and PTSB man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Suresh Raj Kr­ish­nan.
