CASB secures RM610m Islamic facility

KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank Islamic Bhd, HSBC Amanah Malaysia Bhd and RHB Islamic Bhd have successfully concluded a sevenyear, RM610 million Syndicated Commodity Murabahah Term Financing-i Facility for Columbia Asia Sdn Bhd (CASB).

Maybank Islamic was appointed the syariah adviser, with Maybank Investment Bank Bhd being the security agent.

“CASB is committed to expand its operations to meet the growing demand of healthcare needs across Asia,” said its group chief financial officer Dilip Kadambi.

The Islamic facility will be utilised by CASB to refinance existing debts and part-finance new developments in Klang, Batu Kawan and Tebrau, along with related expansion works for a hospital in Nusajaya. Bernama
