Hollande, delegation treated to Rafale display

-

SUBANG JAYA: The rainy weather provided some spectacular “vapes” as the French-made Dassault Rafale multi-role combat aircraft demonstrated its blistering performance and phenomenal agility during an aerial display at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base here yesterday.

As part of his state visit, French President Francois Hollande and his delegation were treated to a flight demo after touring the static display of the Airbus A400M Atlas tactical transports operated by the RMAF.

Deliveries of the huge, four-engined transports began in 2015. The RMAF operates four A400Ms to supplement its fleet of Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules.

Hollande was in a cordial mood as he witnessed the flight display with Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
