Mour­inho is world’s high­est paid

LON­DON: Jose Mour­inho will earn al­most dou­ble the amount of his ri­val, Pep Guardi­ola, dur­ing his first sea­son at Manchester United.

France Foot­ball claim the Por­tuguese will pocket an as­ton­ish­ing £24.2 mil­lion (RM 133.6 mil­lion) this term, mak­ing him the high­est paid man­ager in the world.

And that fig­ure is nearly twice as much as Guardi­ola's to­tal of £12.5mil­lion, which in­cludes his Manchester City salary and bonuses, plus com­mer­cial deals.

Mour­inho earns £15m a year at United, but he also has a num­ber of big-money en­dorse­ment deals with com­pa­nies away from his day-to-day role at Old Traf­ford.

The for­mer Chelsea boss is the face of Heineken and also has agree­ments with the likes of Hublot watches, Jaguar, BT Sport, Adi­das, At­lantis ho­tels and EA Sports.
