‘MINI MOUNTAINS

-

RESIDENTS living near Jalan Datuk Haji Harun in Taman Taynton View, Cheras, are at their wits’ end. Their backyards have been turned into a dumpsite after countless lorries dumped construction waste there.

They claimed all sorts of material were thrown away at vacant lots in the neighbourhood by unscrupulous individuals almost on a daily basis.

Some lots, which are on the same level as the main road, have been turned into “mini mountains of waste”.

A resident, who only wished to be known as Dzivani, said: “We have been enduring this for a long time.

“At first, many of us did not take notice of the lorries that came here. However, it looks like this is being done on a bigger scale.

“We have been told that some unscrupulous individuals are collecting money from the lorry drivers before they are allowed to dump the materials here.”
