Hadi thanks govt for being able to present bill

ALOR STAR: Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has thanked the government for allowing him to present a bill to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (Act 355) in Parliament last month.

“We are thankful that the government and the Dewan Rakyat speaker had given way for the bill to be presented. It is meaningful to Islam. We will not forget this cooperation, may Allah ease the way forward,” he said in his winding-up speech at Kota Sarang Semut yesterday.
