SEGi’s Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment focuses on delivering the best engineering education to its students using applied methodologies and state-of-the-art engineering facilities.
Our appointed Industrial Advisory panel members include reputable organisations such as AECOM, Daikin Malaysia, Norman Disney and Young, as well as BinaPuri.
Students pursuing SEGi’s engineering programmes will experience student-teacher interaction with lecturers from its partner universities.
SEGi campuses are well equipped with advanced laboratories and workshops, allowing students to perform their very best on their coursework projects.
SEGi offers an impressive range of engineering disciplines, from foundation and diploma right up to bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and PhD in various disciplines, including civil engineering, chemical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, automotive engineering, and mechanical engineering.
Students with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia qualification or equivalent may choose to kick-start their engineering careers by applying for SEGi’s Foundation in Science or may choose to enrol for SEGi’s diploma programmes.
Amongst the diploma programmes offered at SEGi University are Diploma in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Students who have graduated from foundation programmes or possess a diploma may enrol for SEGi’s bachelor’s degree programmes.
Diploma holders may gain direct entry into Year 2 of the degree programme.
Amongst the degree programmes available at SEGi are Bachelor of Science (Hons) Quantity Surveying, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering, and Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
These programmes will be awarded by SEGi University.
However, students who wish to pursue a degree awarded by a premier United Kingdom university may pursue a collaborative degree (3+0) programme with the prestigious University of Sunderland.
Amongst the programmes offered under this impressive collaboration are Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, and Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Automotive Engineering.
SEGi also offers the dual award degree programme, where students may obtain two degrees, one from SEGi University and the other from either University of Sunderland or University of Greenwich.
Under the dual award degree programme with University of Sunderland, students may choose to pursue Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Engineering in Mechanical or Electronic and Electrical.
While under the dual award degree programme with University of Greenwich, students may pursue the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering programme.
Graduates wanting to pursue their education further or to the highest level may enrol for SEGi’s master’s degree and PhD programmes.
Amongst the postgraduate programmes offered are Master of Science in Engineering by Research, Master of Science Engineering Management, Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering and PhD (Engineering) by Research.
